Looking at all the names on the poster, HOME promised to be a top festival, but the weather gods threw a spanner in the works.
Days before opening, it had been raining heavily which made the festival area be completely covered in mud.
Everyone worked day and night to make the area safe and pleasant for visitors to arrive.
After approval of the police and fire department, the festival could finally open its door. Unfortunately, as a result of this delay, the first 2 sets at every stage had to be cancelled. Yet, we can’t be dissatisfied as we heard some very strong sets on the first day.
The sets of Karotte, Nic Fanciulli, Gary Beck, Magda and Stephan Bodzin made us forget the slow start of the first day. (SVH)
