Robert Hood, one of the minimal and techno-veterans, releases the story of 20 years M-Plant on 3 CD’s compilation. Robert Hood looks back on the evolution of his label and shows what the future will bring.
In addition to his classics such as ‘Moveable Parts 1 & 2’, ‘Internal Empire’, his remix of ‘The Greatest Dancer’ can be found on the 1st cd, who has a focus on the early years of M-Plant. Hood’s versatility as producer can be discovered on the 2 the disc with tracks starting from 2005. He incorporated elements of soul, funk, house and also gospel as in ‘We Magnify His Name’. The future and the past are united on the 3rd disc with re-edits. In short, with this compilation Robert Hood carries us back to the early days of minimal, techno and what M-Plant has meant for minimal and techno during the years. (DK)
