Recensie Syntax Error CD Presentatie, Gent, 01/05/2015.

In onze muziekrecensie van het album Syntax Error werd reeds Pukkelpop, Dour Festival genoemd en nu kunnen we enkel bevestigen dat deze live act van Karl Hefner & Hugh Lagerfeld een plaats verdient op underground rock en elektronische muziekfestivals. Op 1 mei werd het album Syntax Error voorgesteld in het Maaltebrugge Kasteel te Gent. Naast de rook en licht elementen, hadden de heren ook beroep gedaan op 3 danseressen die volledig in de sfeer van het optreden het publiek warm maakten. De synth pop, new wave en elektronische klanken die het duo presenteerden hadden eerst een duistere smaak, maar met het vorderen van de live act kwamen de benen en enthousiasme bij het publiek los. Naast breakbeat en 4/4 house beats waren de live elementen vooral effecten, zang en een elektrische gitaar. Een aanrader voor fans van new wave en duistere elektronische muziek. (JL)

In our music review of the album Syntax Error we already mentioned Pukkelpop, Dour Festival and now we can only confirm that this live act of Karl Hefner & Hugh Lagerfeld deserves a place on underground rock and electronic music festivals. On the 1^st the album, Syntax Error, was presented in the Maaltebrugge Castle in Ghent. In addition to the smoke and light elements, the gentlemen also appealed to 3 dancers who were warming up the public completely in the atmosphere of the performance. The synth pop, new wave and electronic sounds that the duo were presenting had a dark taste at first, but with the progressing of the live act the public got more enthusiastic. In addition to Breakbeat and 4/4 house beats, the live elements were mostly effects, vocals and an electric guitar. A must see for fans of new wave and dark electronic music. (JL)
