Rock Werchter started on Thursday the 3rd>/sup> July.
The site was entered late with the tones of Blur-frontman Damon Albarn, where we could hear the final part with a track from the Gorillaz repertoire. It’s always nice to start with British pop on Rock Werchter. But first, we went to see the impressive piece of art by Arne Quinze, or the North West Walls, where Michael Midnight was responsible for a superb party. You can hear Michael Midnight today, as duo for The Whatevers. We started to wait, taking some time for food, until Gesaffelstein started their party celebration in Klub C. The complete set was admirable. Arsenal was next on the list and they chose to play many songs from their new album Furu. Skrillex closed the first day with a mix of dubstep, ravy electro and some EDM in between. (JL)
