Report Tomorrowland 2014, 2nd day, Saturday 19/07/2014.
This was a first time on the best dance-festival in the world and it became immediately clear that Tomorrowland is extremely well organized. We arrived very early and admired the mainstage and various other stages. Each visitor is entering with a big smile and is very friendly giving a fraternization with different nationalities from the first minute until the last arrived. It’s already known that Josh Lasden adjusts his DJ-sets to the timing and the stage he’s playing on. He was also our first DJ set that we heard and chose old trance, progressive, psy-trance as he opened on the B2B stage, an ideal warm up for this stage. Highlights were Red Eye and ‘Lucky Spray’ and the special track created for Tomorrowland 2014 or ‘Ride To Tomorrow’. Justine De Jonckheere, or Miss Belgium 2011, was also spotted on the stage during the Josh Lasden set. After this DJ set we inspected the festival a bit more and the admiration for Tomorrowland was only getting bigger. What a wonderful festival. Arrived on the main stage we heard the start of Deorro followed by taking some time to eat delicious pasta. We headed to the Ketaloco-stage afterwards, because Hernan Cattaneo was playing there. His progressive house was extremely pleasant and the short rain shower was quickly forgotten. After the set of Cattaneo we went towards Café d’Anvers where we just could see the end of Seth Troxler. Maya Jane Coles was next on the program of the Cocoon stage and continued in the momentum of Troxler. We went back to Hernan Cattaneo where we saw the end and the beginning of Caspar. Both DJ sets delighted, so we stayed till the end of Caspar. The time had arrived for a 2 nd lunch break followed by Netsky on the main stage. Netsky chose to play house and EDM in between drum ‘n’ bass. Still, it was largely his own hits such as ‘Come Alive’ and ‘We Can Only Live Today’ having big success and the entire public witnessed a great moment. We finished Saturday the DJ-set by Sven Väth on the Cocoon stage. Thanks to Tomorrowland for a wonderful day and evening in Boom, we will never forget. (FL)
