The largest alternative music festival in our country, Pukkelpop 2015, report.
It was a sunny day on the last day of, 30 years, Pukkelpop, the 2015 Edition. The new Belgian Queens of house music, Beauhause, started the Boiler Room on the last day of Pukkelpop, so we arrived early in Kiewit. The ladies of Beauhause proved to be an ideal start. Both dub house, tech house as funky house were offered and ended it up to be a first highlight of Pukkelpop 2015. Next was the sultry and classy voice of Lady Linn, becoming a beautiful collaboration with the dj set of Red D.
Shadowchild went to a step higher with tracks such as ’Bugatti’ of Tiga and ’Papua New Guinea’ of The Future Sound Of London.
The band, The War On Drugs, brought a wonderful performance on the main stage, where we especially enjoyed the hit ‘ Under The Pressure’. We were served a portion of techno by Raving George, and she was clearly enjoying her DJ gig.
In the Dance Hall was Underworld without a doubt a highlight at Pukkelpop. The electronic music band remains a fantastic live act due to the spectacle of light and sound.
Pukkelpop 2015 ended with a piece of the Michael Midnight DJ set, who has the traditionally honor to close the Boiler Room. The largest alternative music festival of our country is one of the best organized festivals in Belgium. Friendly staff, prompt service at bars and the special Limburg kindness that’s everywhere, makes the atmosphere at Pukkelpop particularly pleasant. Musically, we can state, that there is choice for anyone from rock fanatics to the clubbers and fans of alternative music. A beautiful edition and congratulations for 30 years Pukkelpop. (JL)
