Report XO Festival 2017 day 3 Joris Voorn 080617 EMmag

The 3rd day on Extrema Outdoor Belgium 2017, report 2.

The drive towards Extrema Outdoor Belgium started with raving comments, of the artists Tale of Us, Nick Warren b2b with Hernan Catteneo and (daddy) Sven Väth. Nowadays “Granddaddy Sven” but as his age, he’s still a pioneer for young talent.
Many worldstars were planned on different stage for the last day. This can be a disadvantage, but as we made good choises we had the luck to hear many artists.
Arriving at the festival, we saw Joris Voorn playing ‘Lovely Flight’. It was clear that Joris is a fixture in the electronic music world and knows what the people want on a Sunday afternoon. Joris closed his set with the trance classic ‘Seven Days and 1 week’ of BBE. We crossed the festival site afterwards to the Ants stage for the house beats of Eats Everything.
We witnessed Ben Klock on the Kompass stage, while going back to the Red Bull Elektopedia stage, who was spreading his hard techno beats all over the beach delighting the audience.
My personal highlight of the day was the phenomenal set of Stephan Bodzin. This was the first time that I saw Stephan Bodzin live, with developing an energy that made the audience delirious. That energy made the buttons of his controller piece. We saw the end of the Hot Since 82 set afterwards, and enjoyed a small piece of the Marcel Dettmann set. We closed Extrema Outdoor Belgium 2017 with an absolute living legend, Moodymann. Moodymann played a dj set with music ranging from tracks of Yazoo towards drums & bass, so we couldn’t wish for a better closing of the festival.
