Sting will be coming to Gent Jazz, edition 2019.
Fragile, Englishman In New York, Russians, All This Time, All For Love, Desert Rose,… the list of hits by Sting, or Gordon Summer, is endless. With his band, The Police, he was included in the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. But his personality, using the same intelligence that is also present in his music, for his fight against hunger in Africa, Amnesty International, his support for Tibet and nature conservation (Rainforest Foundation), attention to the climate change with Live Earth, makes Sting a miraculous person and an example for humanity. Ghent Jazz might be too small for the visit of the worldstar, Sting.
Previously, the organization announced Diana Krall, Gregory Porter and John Zorn “Bagatelle”.
Ghent Jazz 2019 will take place on the 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th July. (JL)
