Day 1 on Rock Werchter 2015, Thursday the 25th June.

Performances of the day, without a doubt, were Florence and The Machine and Faith No More. Too bad, but disappointing were Caribou and Oscar And The Wolf. Day 1 started with a 3 hour search from parking to parking, which is also disappointing. The external firms were apparently not aware where the car different parkings were and there was actually just 1 good parking indicated, what wasn’t the case last year. Finally we arrived well on time for energy-rich performance of Florence and The Machine. Hits such as ’Dog Days Are Over’ and ’Spectrum’ were the highlights. Faith No More turned out to be a worthy replacement for the Foo Fighters with ’Easy’ and ’Epic’ as descending angels. Caribou remained relaxing electronica and at the tent, The Barn, with Oscar and The Wolf we heard murmurings among visitors. Fortunately, The Chemical Brothers closed the first day in a fantastic way. We do not forget to mention that Studio Brussels is having a fun action on their booth, where everyone is invited to complete the sentence ‘Summer is …’ in an original way. We are looking forward to artists such as Pharrell Williams and Róisin Murphy today. (JL)
